How do we process the placenta?
Unlike the Traditional Chinese Medicine preparation of the placenta, we do not steam the placenta with herbs during this raw encapsulation process. We forgo the steaming to save the vital nutrients and hormones that may be depleted once the placenta has heated to above 118 degrees. This method follows the general “Raw Foods” rule that nothing should be heated beyond 118 degrees or vital enzymes are lost. Women have called these capsules “happy pills” and report phenomenal energy levels while taking them. Plan to take your happy pills now.

Placenta Encapsulation Benefits:
The idea of eating the placenta may sound a little or a lot crazy, however if you look at all mammals you’ll find this to be as normal as birth itself. When a woman gives birth and delivers the placenta, she loses all the nutrients contained in the placenta. By consuming the placenta, she is able to replace the nutrients she has lost. The placenta is rich in hormones, protein, vitamins, and hemoglobin (which is an iron-rich protein).
Some benefits of consuming the placenta include:
Baby blues can effect up to 80% of women within the first week of birth. Women who consume their placenta report fewer emotional issues and a more enjoyable babymoon. We should all consider that a benefit.
